Laboratory of Immunotherapy at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is an interdisciplinary laboratory promoting cutting-edge research in the field of Oncoimmunology and Immunotherapy, which is part of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale of USTC. The lab is located in the life Science Building at the west campus of USTC.The immune system has a remarkable ability to locate, recognize and attack invaders, including viruses and such as the ones that cause colds and flu. But the immune system is not always able to eliminate cancer cells when they form. Possibilities to control the immunosuppressive cells in tumor are key factors in opening new avenues to fight against cancer growth. The research in our laboratory focuses on the designing and testing of novel targets against cancer and immune transplant rejection using murine and human assay systems. Our main goal is to improve immunotherapy for cancer patients.
