On August 17, 2021, Summer’s freshman experimental training evaluation meeting was under the presidency of Professor Sun Cheng. Professor Björn Nashan and Professor Sun Cheng were examiners for the training evaluation of participants. In this meeting, five students presented 30 days’ training report of studied experiments comprehensively. Judges commented professionally in general and specific manner to verify student’s comprehension of fundamental knowledge. According to the presenters’ report, respected judges also pointed out the shortage in each one’s final work and also provided suggestions to improve them.

During the training process, senior lab members guided new comers how to overcome problems in the laboratory carefully and patiently, that is for great help for them. As a result, every student finished requirement of professors successfully at the end of meeting.

On April 17, 2021, in the breezing and fragrance of flowers, a hiking was arranged to visit the ecological forest area and beautiful tourism point “Zipeng mountain” located in suburbs of Hefei. Zipeng mountain has been known as the the first mountain of Luyang since the Qing Dynasty.

After hiking, all of the participant had a wonderful BBQ party at the base camp of Zipeng mountain. With a pleasing and relaxing atmosphere, every one contributed for cooking and made an effective cooperation. Everyone enjoyed self-cooked tasty foods. Meanwhile, discussed their interests and dreams freely. Instead of focusing on scientific and lab work in this picnic, everyone felt a heightened wave of cooperation and communication. This get together, also provided us an opportunity feel like a heart-felt family away from the home town.

Professor Sun Cheng was invited as resource person in Chinese Conference on Oncology held in Guangzhou, Guangdong, P.R. China from November 12-15, 2020. 

The theme of this conference is: “Cancer Prevention”. More than 40 Chinese and foreign academicians and 2000 top oncology experts and scholars participated in this conference. This conferences had nearly 100 theme forums and keynote lectures from experts of the respective fields. Prof. Sun gave a talk on “The role of innate lymphocytes in immune regulation of liver tumors.
